Forumwise has the option of enabling a karma system (users vote for or against other members, so everyone gets a "karma score"). On a political forum, it seems like a bad idea to me since whoever happens to best represent the forum's overall views would have the highest. I'm thinking of letting just moderators rate people though, and only for things like personal attacks (bad) or telling a member who's new to phpBB how to do something (good). If you've used IPB, this would be kind of like the warning system it has, except everyone could see it.
Thoughts? |

| If you did it for the moderators, you'd have to require that we post an explanation in the thread or edit it the info into their post, otherwise it wouldn't be fair since you could get good karma once or three times depending on who sees it. |

| Yeah, I think I would require an edit to the user's post to make sure no one does it twice, maybe have it be in italics or smaller font or something. |
