Do you believe in souls, does everyone possess souls?

Do you believe in life after death, if so in what form? And do you believe it involves your soul?

I don't know if I believe in souls, in a lot of ways I'd like to, but I know of no reason to think they exist. Same for the afterlife.

I believe in souls as a sort of meter. If you do good in your life, your soul turns green. You do bad, it turns red.

(Not really like that, but it's a good example to show you what I mean)

Depending on which color your soul is depends on where you go.

To answer the questions:

I believe in both a soul and afterlife. I believe that when my body and soul separates, the soul goes on to paradise and the body decays here. Later, my Savior will return and reunite all of his children with perfect bodies.

And they all lived happily ever after.

It's going to be so cool having a larger perspective on the Universe.

I also believe in a human soul and the afterlife. If you believe that Jesus is the only way to Heaven, and accept him, you will go to Heaven. If you reject him, you will go to Hell.

Not a believer in Purgatory I will assume.

Certainly sucks for the Jews.

However, when I did believe in this, I believed in a purgatory. Because part of me believes that if God exists, he can't be that uptight. And I really liked Dante's Divine Comedy.

I'm enjoying The Divine Comedy currently. In some ways Purgatory sounds quite nice.

At least you can eventually make it to Paradise, you have something to look forward to.

I thought outside of Hell was for the angels and all that who didn't bother to make any choice in the battle of Heaven and Hell.

The first level of hell went to the Pagans who were virtuous, simply because, though they were good people, they were around before the time Christ. And, as such, couldn't get into Heaven.

Unless you aren't talking about the Inferno anymore.

But I haven't read it for about three years, so maybe I'm rusty.
