What is truth? Is there such a thing as an absolute truth? Or is truth a generally accepted idea?

What constitues a lie? Obviously perceptions would play a role, in example: Two people can experience something, and in describing it to others, have different stories, and neither of say what really happened?

If their account wasn't literally the exact thing that happened, then it would be incorrect, though I'm not sure I'd call it a lie since the word "lie" is associated with intentional decepetion.
I think there is truth, but I'm not sure we can ever exactly know it, except maybe in things like math (i.e. 2+2=4).
