In 2008 there will be a new President, but will anything really change?

It depends on a lot of things I think, like whether the house and senate are controlled by the same party as the white house, public opinion, etc. Big picture though, not so much, it's still party politics, they're still politicians.

Fundamentally I guess not, we'll still obviously be a republic and so on. It will determine futures of social security, likely the economy, certainly the Iraq War, possibly the Supreme Court, etc.

I doubt anything would change, since big business and special interest groups own both the Democrats and Republicans. the only way we are ever going to see change is if a third party is elected, and since 98% of the American voting public is mentally retarded and won't vote for a third party no matter what their ideals are, we will never see it happen.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

People will always be either angry, ignorant or put blame on othes. It doesn't really matter if we have a new president or not.

No, things won't change.

Congress will still waste money, and still not quite get that they aren't doing what people want.

We'll probably still be in Iraq, and people will still be complaining about that.
