What needs to be done to fix the immigration problem, that is if you think it is a problem? Should illegals be allowed to stay or should we continue our "no" policy? Solutions for the problem?

Discuss.

I believe, firmly, that illegal immigrants are criminals and should be deported back to their home country.

I believe they are criminals as well, but looking at this thing realistically this country couldn't eject them all.

My idea has always been to give the ones who are illegally an option to become citizens, but not at once. to become citizens they would need to apply for a temporary citizenship visa, and they'd have two years to do the following. have a steady source of income, have their children enrolled in school, be completly self sufficient without any aid from the goverment, they must not commit any crimes during that time, they must learn English, and they must take a citizenship course. They would also have to provide some proof that they were in this country before the law was passed, thats to prevent a mass migration accross the border. if they can complete all that, than they should be US citzens. if they can't, they are immediatly deported.

I see that as fair, because dispite what the liberal dipshits say this isn't about racism it's about money. there's about 30 million illegals in this country who don't pay taxes. besides, it's totally unfair that some cheap ass multi-billion dollar company pays these people 3 bucks an hour to work there *cough*Wal-mart*cough*
